Cousteau Dive Center At Caribbeans
The Jean-Michel Cousteau Diving Caribbean dive center has open its operation on a tiny island in the country of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The island even has the French word for tiny in its name, Petit St. Vincent lies 40 miles south of St. Vincent in the Grenadines—a group of islands sprinkled across what may be the most beautiful stretch of water in the Caribbean. As he has done in Fuji, Jean-Michel Cousteau has affiliated himself with one of the finest resorts in the world. Petit St. Vincent is a private island that has one resort that host 16 one bedroom cottages, 6two bedroom villas, two main beaches, two restaurants and hillside spa. It is 115 acres of soft rolling hills, sandy white beaches and lush tropical flora. Petit St. Vincent offers an unparalleled vacation for people who seek privacy amid natural beauty, coupled with the luxurious comforts and service of a stellar resort. The rates that start at a low season quote of $1,200 a night (plus 20% tax and service charges) include three meals per day, all non-alcoholic beverages, early morning coffee and afternoon tea, butler room service, and use of all non-motorized water sports and facilities on the island. The resort is closed the months of August, September and October; however an island rental can be accommodated in August, the first two weeks of September and the last 2 weeks of October. The island can be rented at other times of the year as well. Each guest is provided a map of the island.
Jean-Michel Cousteau Diving Caribbean will be diving some of the best dive sites in the region. The waters of the Caribbean Sea are known for their exceptional diversity. The dive center has been hard at work preparing for the opening and that work includes discovering "secret" dive sites. Locations with spectacular reefs that no one has dived before. The dive center has a house reef just minutes away. They will also head to world-class reefs that can only be accessed by boat. The diving has sites for every one from beginners to experts.
Jean-Michel has been involved with the Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort, Fiji, an environmentally and culturally oriented family resort, conceived as a model to prove to the business community the economic benefits of environmental concern and design. In order to expand the impact of ecological tourism, he created Jean-Michel Cousteau Diving, a flagship dive operation based at the resort in Fiji and serving the islands. He is currently forming an action partnership to expand this ecologically responsible model to other sites, such as the one he just established at Petit St. Vincent
Jean-Michel travels to Petit St. Vincent on a regular basis. You just might get lucky and have a chance to dive with him!
